The Role of Internet During Corona Period
Corona virus disease 2019 or COVID-19 seems to be the greatest crisis in the 21" century. During such a critical period Internet played a great role in serving the world people. In fact, internet-based social media put up the dreadful image of COVID-19 to the world people especially to WHO and the governments of the countries of the world and thus enabled them to take proper steps against the crises created by this evil. Then social media put up the number of the affected people, their condition, people's poverty during lockdown, their violation of rules during lockdown, the causes of the spread of this disease in different areas, superstitious activities of the ignorant people, etc. As a result, the authorities concerned could take proper steps against these evils. Informed of the seriousness of the situation, WHO (World Health Organization) took appropriate actions in the process of alleviating people's sufferings by giving people updated directives relating to this evil. Urged with this critical situation medical scientists across the world as well as WHO have tried their best to invent vaccine against corona virus and eventually succeeded in inventing an effective vaccine of this disease. In other words, Internet played a great role through various social media in protecting the world people by providing information for the authorities concerned and thus enabled them to take necessary steps to remove the sufferings of the world people.

করোনাভাইরাস ডিজিজ 2019 বা কোভিড-19 21" শতাব্দীর সবচেয়ে বড় সংকট বলে মনে হচ্ছে। এমন একটি সংকটময় সময়ে ইন্টারনেট বিশ্ববাসীকে সেবা দেওয়ার ক্ষেত্রে একটি দুর্দান্ত ভূমিকা পালন করেছে। আসলে, ইন্টারনেট-ভিত্তিক সামাজিক যোগাযোগ মাধ্যমগুলি এর ভয়ঙ্কর চিত্র তুলে ধরেছে। কোভিড-১৯ বিশ্ববাসীর কাছে বিশেষ করে বিশ্ব স্বাস্থ্য সংস্থা এবং বিশ্বের দেশগুলির সরকারকে এবং এইভাবে তাদের এই মন্দের দ্বারা সৃষ্ট সংকটের বিরুদ্ধে যথাযথ পদক্ষেপ নিতে সক্ষম করেছে। তারপরে সোশ্যাল মিডিয়া আক্রান্তদের সংখ্যা, তাদের অবস্থা, লকডাউনের সময় মানুষের দারিদ্র্য, লকডাউনের সময় তাদের নিয়ম লঙ্ঘন, বিভিন্ন এলাকায় এই রোগ ছড়ানোর কারণ, অজ্ঞ মানুষের কুসংস্কারমূলক কর্মকাণ্ড ইত্যাদির ফলে এসব অপকর্মের বিরুদ্ধে সংশ্লিষ্ট কর্তৃপক্ষ যথাযথ পদক্ষেপ নিতে পারে। পরিস্থিতির গাম্ভীর্য বিবেচনায় ডব্লিউএইচও (বিশ্ব স্বাস্থ্য সংস্থা) জনগণের দুর্ভোগ লাঘবের প্রক্রিয়ায় যথাযথ ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ করে এই অশুভ সংক্রান্ত হালনাগাদ নির্দেশনা প্রদান করে। এই সংকটময় পরিস্থিতিতে সারা বিশ্বের চিকিৎসা বিজ্ঞানীরা করোনা ভাইরাসের প্রতিষেধক উদ্ভাবনের জন্য যথাসাধ্য চেষ্টা করেছেন এবং অবশেষে এই রোগের একটি কার্যকর ভ্যাকসিন উদ্ভাবনে সফল হয়েছেন। অন্য কথায়, বিভিন্ন সামাজিক যোগাযোগ মাধ্যমে ইন্টারনেট সংশ্লিষ্ট কর্তৃপক্ষের জন্য তথ্য সরবরাহের মাধ্যমে বিশ্ববাসীকে সুরক্ষায় একটি দুর্দান্ত ভূমিকা পালন করেছে এবং এভাবে বিশ্ববাসীর দুর্ভোগ দূর করতে প্রয়োজনীয় পদক্ষেপ নিতে সক্ষম হয়েছে।
